When conducting aerial photography for VR, one common issue is insufficient parallax. In other words, because the distance between the left and right cameras is too small relative to the landscape being captured, the resulting image lacks a three-dimensional feel. Because of this, most people opt for 360-degree VR for aerial shots, making VR180 a bit of a niche choice.
The typical approach for VR180 aerial photography involves flying the drone extremely close to mountains, buildings, or fireworks to emphasize the depth. Another method to increase parallax is time-sequential shooting (taking two shots at different times while moving), which is a technique frequently used when filming from drones or airplanes.
