Western Nara is crisscrossed by ancient highways and is home to numerous shrines and temples. Despite its richness, there are very few tourists here, allowing you to have the traditional atmosphere all to yourself. During the cooler seasons, a stroll around the majestic Taima-dera Temple is highly recommended. I have published a series of VR180 photos so that you can experience the unique vibe of this location.
Previously, the most common way to share 3D photos was simply to embed them into a webpage. Later, VR video platforms emerged, and finally, sites dedicated to publishing stereoscopic VR180 photos have arrived. On these platforms, despite being labeled as 8K, I am able to publish 3D photos with the same visual fidelity as 12K by narrowing the field of view. At 12K resolution, the sense of realism is staggering; even a simple landscape photograph becomes a captivating experience.
While it is certain that stereoscopic VR photography will become a major genre as XR glasses gain popularity in the near future, for the time being, it will likely remain a “toy” for a dedicated few.
